[edit]The Rivers in Cambridgeshire category is misleading. Neither river touches that county.
POV on location of first Arthurian battle
[edit]This article implies that the location of the first battle of Arthur is known to be in Lincolnshire. This is a contentious issue.
Only a disambiguation page, so remove most of the explanation
[edit]I'll edit down the explanation to the bare essence. Perhaps the interesting bits about Arthur and patterns in Gaelic place names belong in proper articles. Nesbit 16:07, 27 August 2005 (UTC)
- There is a muddle here. The talk page links of both River Glen (disambiguation) and River Glen, Lincolnshire lead here. (RJP 17:28, 28 August 2005 (UTC))

kates bridge name
[edit]presumed to be the Kate after whom the bridge is named seems to come from the VCH, but may be wide of the mark.
My understanding is that Kates Bridge is a corruption of Cattebrigge [Wheeler, William Henry (1896). A History of the Fens of South Lincolnshire (2nd ed.). Boston, London: J.M. Newcombe and Simpkin, Marshall & Co. doi:10.1680/ahotfosl2e.50358.] and that translates to Bishop's Bridge.--Robert EA Harvey (talk) 23:51, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
- Please can you explain what the VCH is, and do you have access to Wheeler 1896, as I don't? Bob1960evens (talk) 21:54, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- I now have a copy of Wheeler (1896), which mentions Catebrigge in Appendix 1, p.22, but does not give a translation. Bob1960evens (talk) 09:15, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Uncited text
[edit]I have removed the following, because it has had a citation needed tag for a year, and no source has been found.
- The streams are flowing over the sand and gravel of the bed of a former periglacial lake of the Devensian glacial period.[citation needed]
