Welcome to my user page. My name is Howard Banwell. I am originally from the UK, but have lived mainly in Asia (Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore) for over thirty years. Singapore has been my home since 1992.

Although I have been aware of Wikipedia for some time, I only started to participate actively at the end of January 2005. I find already that it has the potential to be addictive (and very time-consuming!).

My interests include wine, travel and sailing (both cruising and racing).

My early contributions have been in the field of wine and geography/culture.
