Hi Paul: I see you're working on some Commedia articles, and I wonder if you know anything about Mattacino? I know him only through Mattachine Society. I tried Googling information but didn't dig up anything except something about him being in the Carnival of Venice. Do you know anything?

Nope.
Mattachino sounds vaguely Commedia-esque but he's not mentioned in any of the books I've read on the subject. He might be a post-Commedia development like Smirildina who I am told was invented by Goldoni.
