This page should be added to category : Israeli people of Belarusian-Jewish descent , because of the city he was born in FlamedIce (talk) 20:29, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Categories are based on what the place at birth, not what it became later. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:56, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kadima

[edit]

The info box states that Peres was affiliated with Kadima until 2016, yet Kadima was dissolved in 2015. The Hebrew Wikipedia has different years and affiliations that, generally, make more sense. Maybe replace our list? gidonb (talk) 18:47, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In the first sentence, please change

was an Israeli politician who served as the ninth president of Israel from 2007 to 2014 and as the eighth prime minister of Israel from 1984 to 1986 and from 1995 to 1996.

to

was an Israeli politician who served as the eighth prime minister of Israel from 1984 to 1986 and from 1995 to 1996 and as the ninth president of Israel from 2007 to 2014.

This puts the sentence in chronological order, and since the prime minister is far more important than the president, it puts the more significant office ahead of the less significant office. 123.51.107.94 (talk) 03:13, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Interregnum"

[edit]

The word "interregnum" could possibly describe a politician out of office, but only in a joking tone. It isn't suitable in this sense for an encyclopedia article. TooManyFingers (talk) 02:48, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

change "He felt that Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel was a means to a progressive end in which the State of Israel both inspire the world and survive in a region of the world where it was unwelcome." to "He felt that Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel was a means to a progressive end in which the State of Israel both inspires the world and survives in a region where it was unwelcome."  Not done: Not proper subject-verb agreement; "the State of Israel inspires and survives" is correct – macaddct1984 (talk | contribs) 13:39, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
