From VfD:
Badly named article that appears to be factual, however one is left to wonder how notable a term this is or whether this is just another neologism. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 14:13, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I moved the article to Brock (professional wrestling). A poor choice of article name is not a valid reason to list an article for deletion. As for the term's notability, Google gets almost 80 hits [1]. Google newsgroup search gets nearly 4,000 hits [2]. Finally, for those wondering why there are individual articles for each wrestling term instead of a single article: I encourage you to glance over Talk:Professional wrestling slang and several of the longer slang articles (e.g. Botch (professional wrestling) and Swerve (professional wrestling)). All of the slang terms together on one page would simply be too large and unwieldy. We have pro wrestling fans eager to provide in-depth etymologies and examples of each term — so why not let them? Encyclopedic == comprehensive. • Benc • 19:18, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Keep under fixed title. Common term in wrestling fan circles, more than a dictdef. — Gwalla | Talk 23:44, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Definite keep. --Golbez 02:02, Sep 12, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: With all due respect to Benc, I think this is massively neologistic and slang. The word comes from Wrestlemania XIX? That's not ancient history. It's one of those slang words named after a person ("to do a Homer"). I simply don't see that as being on the same level as even emoticon. It's just not encyclopedic. Geogre 14:16, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to Brock Lesnar. -Sean Curtin 00:23, Sep 13, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Agree with Geogre. --Improv 05:58, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)
