The problems you've encountered
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, Fresnosparrow, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
I saw your note on the Village Pump, and on John Fader's talk page. There's not much we can do about negative comments on Sandbox pages; it's an area for people to experiment, and we try not to get heavy with people there unless they're really abusive. Comments there generally don't last very long. You're very welcome to remove any material from the sandbox that you think is inappropriate; it's a free-for-all.
The search being disabled is nothing to do with your actions, or the actions of any other user. Wikipedia's full-text search is one of the items which takes up the most CPU, so when our servers are overloaded (which is common), we disable it and let Google and Yahoo search take over.
Finally, we didn't understand your original complaint, but this isn't something to take personally. John Fader thought you might be a more advanced user asking a deeper question than you actually were. He probably looked at your user contributions, which don't include any sandbox editing (perhaps because you did so before you logged in), and wasn't sure whether you were talking about a different Wiki.
