Filmography
[edit]Danny trejo has been in alot more things than that. people need to add more films to the list. DeadWood 16:12, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Agreed; Since Machete will be a full-time movie done around the same time as Sin City 2, I'll add that in. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.24.125 (talk) 06:19, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- Crap film though it was, he was in the parody "breaking wind" which I have just wasted more than an hour of my life watching. Not totally wasted time, as it's made wikipedia a little bit more complete :-) 87.194.84.44 (talk) 00:36, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Was his character from Machete the same character from Spy Kids? Because they have the same surname and everything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.218.173.1 (talk) 11:20, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
He's also has a prominent role in FX's Sons Of Anarchy season 4 and 5 as Romeo, as part of the cartel who is working the CIA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.30.234.142 (talk) 06:16, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
The Lead also states Desperado was the last film he did with Robert Rodriguez, the Machete Films were done after this, i'm pretty sure it should first. 220.244.147.59 (talk) 15:14, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- He played the lead character, Guerrero de la Cruz, in "Dead in Tombstone" (2013) (source: IMDb) and the sequel "Dead Again in Tombstone" (2017) (source: IMDb) -- Kevin Cole (talk) 23:28, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
More 'Hero' Roles Recently?
[edit]First section of the article states: "[...], most notably in "tough guy" roles as a villain or an anti-hero." Maybe this has shifted a bit towards Trejo playing more "hero" - or at least 'beating up villains - roles? Like his roles in Machete and Bad Ass. --82.171.13.139 (talk) 00:35, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- On second thought, maybe anti-hero already covers what I mean. --82.171.13.139 (talk) 00:37, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
Correction Needed
[edit]"He served 11 years for drug and robbery charges in the Holmesburg Prison[citation needed]" This is false. He never went to Prison outside of California. Holmsburg Prison is in Pennsylvania — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.8.244.116 (talk) 04:16, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- Correction made today. The bad insertions were done 18:53, 29 April 2012; http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Danny_Trejo&oldid=489826484. They ignored contradictory information provided by other sources already being cited. They disregarded bylined reports and interviews in favor of a trivial source, the captions in a celebrity photo gallery. Not a RS. Hurmata (talk) 23:17, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
Name pronunciation
[edit]This is English Wikipedia and the subject was born in the U.S. of Mexican descent and, yet, the pronunciation of his name is given in Castilian (Spain) Spanish. How about giving it in English? — AjaxSmack 05:58, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
WikiProject Mexico
[edit]I noticed that Trejo has been included in WikiProject Mexico (here on the talk page), but I'm not sure why, as he was born in Los Angeles. I looked at the criteria for inclusion in that project and it seems to focus specifically on topics "in Mexico", and doesn't mention the Mexican diaspora. I've temporarily hidden this project. Thank you! Magnolia677 (talk) 10:57, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- No you are absolutely correct - good catch. The nation is supposed to be where the person spent the majority of their life and contribution - not ethnic background. In this case it clearly should be USA. I changed the country and unhid (sp?) it.Peter Rehse (talk) 11:01, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
Games section
[edit]Does this article really need two games sections with different information in them? 85.23.238.234 (talk) 08:42, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
music video
[edit]Danny Trejo appeared in the music video "Open Your Eyes" by Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. It's on YouTube.73.239.236.97 (talk) 19:31, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
- Do you have a more reliable source for this than YouTube? See the general recommendation, and especially source recommendations for biographies of living people.
- If nobody responds here for a while, you may also wish to ask at Biography and/or Art projects at their respective talk pages. Link them to this discussion, and a volunteer would get back to you shortly. Gryllida (talk) 05:40, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

Edit Warring
[edit]@MrMrmcflyman: @2600:6c55:4800:7d81:6cd3:821:94c1:f59e: You two appear to be engaging in an edit war, not only on the English Wikipedia, but also on Simple English Wikipedia, which has resulted in MrMcflyman's block there. Please settle your disputes here, especially the ones over word choices. --*Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page ♮ 02:18, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
- Observation: I have this page and Danny Trejo filmography on my watchlist. @Mrmcflyman: and an IP editor (IP sometimes changes, I think) have been editing back and forth between a handful of repeated changes ("Trejo" to "his"; "$320" to "320 dollars"; "began in the 1980's" to "began in 1985"), along with multiple tweaks on the tables detailing the filmography (amazingly, never breaking the template/markup that I've seen). These back and forths have been done dozens of times over the last while (couple of months?), and I'm sure Mrmcflyman often reverts and rereverts themself. There never seems to be any cross-comment or animosity expressed as in your typical edit war. I believe them to be the same editor, or editors in the same room. Why on earth this behaviour persists, I haven't the slightest idea. I've always put it down to some sort of obsessive, compulsive fixation. It certainly clogs up the edit history. I've found it amusing to watch, but don't let that stop you from effecting a change in behaviour on my account. I'll find something else that's funny and interesting on Wikipedia.
- (@Fehufanga: I wasn't sure if you had this page on your watchlist.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Willondon (talk • contribs)
- @Willondon: I've added both pages to my watchlist, but I do stalk talk pages where I've left discussions. Them being the same editor does explain why some of MrMcflyman's edit summaries are similar to the IP's. --*Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page ♮ 03:43, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
