Board of directors unlinked
[edit]Hi -- I made all the names in Board of directors section non-links. The reason was that none of them have articles (except Elliott Frankl, but Elliott Frankl is a deleted page and not likely to be restored). If any of them get articles, we might as well link to them... but the blue link to Elliott Frankl was really bothering me because we shouldn't be linking to deleted pages. It seems better to unlink them all than to just unlink him. Mangojuice 18:30, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
I plan to write articles on all the directors, including a rewrite of Frankl's which the previous article on him was vandalised and deleted based on the false claim from one politically motiviated user that he didn't serve on the board --JohnnyCanuck 18:38, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Copyright violations
[edit]It appears that much of this article is a copyright violation of the IHHOF.com website. As per the instructions on Wikipedia:Copyright problems I will revert the last non-copyvio version and list it on the copyvio problems page. -- JamesTeterenko 05:57, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
It was totally rewritten before it was posted, of course factual information is going be to stated like dates and names of people.--JohnnyCanuck 06:09, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- It is very, very similar to the text from that page. And I am not just talking about the dates and names. If you believe that this is not a violation of copyright, please discuss it on the the copyvio problems page for this article. -- JamesTeterenko 06:13, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Please stop your vandalism of this page. If you think it is a copywrite infridgment please be specific as I reviewed it and it is totaly different--JohnnyCanuck 06:16, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

As a neutral third party (I saw this listed on WP:3O), much of the removed text does appear to be either verbatim copied from the IHHOF website or very, very close to it. The most gregious offense occurs in the word-for-word copying of the mission statement (renaming it "Manadate" doesn't make it okay).
Much of this would be okay if it had simply been quoted and cited properly. As it is, the article almost completely lacks citations. The editors who added the text without properly citing their sources left themselves open to this accusation - it's one good reason to always WP:CITE your sources.
I think with a little bit of work most of the removed text could be readded, edited, and cited where necessary. --ElKevbo 19:49, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Inductions
[edit]How often does the International Hockey Hall of Fame make inductions? What recent players are inducted? --67.70.149.233 06:25, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't, and no one. Aside from three players honored in 1966, this museum hasn't "inducted" anyone in sixty years. Ravenswing 07:55, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Larry Paquette
[edit]- I have prodded Paquette's (VicePrez) article. He doesn't even come close to meeting WP:BIO. - pm_shef 21:45, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

International Hockey Hall of Fame → Original Hockey Hall of Fame – The International Hockey Hall of Fame rebranded to the Original Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. Madg2011 (talk) 15:32, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- This should be non-controversial. I tried to do the move myself, but the suggested page exists already as a redirect, so an admin needs to do the move. Alaney2k (talk) 15:41, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- Agreed, non-controversial. Flibirigit (talk) 16:09, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
