The result of the debate was - kept - SimonP 04:59, Mar 29, 2005 (UTC)
Note: I converted this from a speedy delete to a VfD because I didn't think it was appropriate to speedy it. These are the original reasons for the speedy:
{{deletebecause|Link spam, possible copyvio, poor titling conventions.}}
My own vote is below. -- Antaeus Feldspar 14:40, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Cleanup and weak keep. Poor titling conventions aren't a reason to delete since they can be solved quite easily with the "move" function. Likewise, a possible copyvio isn't justification for speedy deletion. The remaining accusation is "link spam"; I would argue that it's stretching to call an article of this length "link spam" just because it ends with the link to the project's homepage, as we would want it to do if it was on a notable software project. Is this a notable software project? It's certainly not your average software project; your average software project isn't founded by the University of Michigan, Indiana University, MIT, and Stanford among others. -- Antaeus Feldspar 14:40, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep but cleanup and rewrite. Regarding copyvio, at least a big chunk of it is taken directly from the page it links to. Kappa 15:00, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Keep per google test. Radiant! 16:08, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)
