I'm pretty sure you're right about the 1.36×104 J/s×m² being wrong on the 1 E4 J page, and thence the 6.2×1021 J/s on the 1 E21 J page. I know the 3.9×1026 J/s is what's listed at Sun, and fits what I remember being correct (more precisely, 3.827×1026 J/s, I'm not sure how the rounding was done there; might fix that a bit while we're at it). I think I was thinking 1,360 J/s×m², and somehow went with 104 instead. And yes, it looks like I carried that error on to the figure for the whole Earth at 1 E17 J. I'll go ahead and fix those up.
By the way, since you're new here, you might not have noticed or not know how to do it easily; it's usually nice to put your name at the end of a message on a talk page, whether a User_talk: or a regular Talk: page. You can do this by putting three tildes (~~~) for your name & link to your User_talk: page, or four tildes (~~~~) for name, link, & time, like I'm about to do right here (dashes aren't part of the tildes, but also fairly standard). -- John Owens (talk) 22:39, 2004 Jul 31 (UTC)
