Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The War of Africa (1961-1974)

This seems to me to be a completely unedited copy from some other source. ClockworkTroll 13:50, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, copyvio. The source is the Google translation of this page from a history of Portugal. Too bad, because we should have an article on the Angolan War of Independence, a lengthy struggle that's now blown off in one uninformative paragraph in the History of Angola. - Question - I listed it here because I couldn't find its source. Now that we know it, should I move this to copyvio, or leave it here? ClockworkTroll 14:47, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I say move to copyvio. -- Jmabel 21:34, Oct 9, 2004 (UTC)
- Leave it here. Now that a proper article's been started (see below), I would favor deleting this one even in the unlikely event that its author were to produce appropriate permission from the copyright owner. JamesMLane 23:00, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)

- Hey JamesMLane, just so you know, I started an article with the title you suggested -- Angolan War of Independence. I pulled data from all over the place, but there's a lot more to write on the topic. Would you be interested in helping me make it into the article it should be? Thanks --Improv 22:48, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I think it's great that you've started an article under the proper title, but I'm afraid I won't be able to lend a hand anytime in the foreseeable future. JamesMLane 23:00, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
