[edit]The quotation from the Writer's Almanac 2005 is from a copyright web page. please don't add such material to Wikipedia: we can't use it, and cleaning it up causes trouble.

Miscellaneous Comments
[edit]1. sporadic, not sporatic.
2. "Fiedler was invited to Hollywood parties through his connections and was able to meet Burgess Meredith and Shirley MacLaine among others." This is silly.
3. Love and Death is not a deconstruction.
4. In the section on 'Drug charges', there are links to the University of Amsterdam and the University of Sussex. The problem with the the prefix is that Wikipedia does not recognize that it already has articles about these institutions. I am not an experienced editor so could someone please correct this?

Trolling? Not!
[edit]One editor accuses me of "trolling" on this page whereas I am only trying to make it neutral. readable and reliable. Previous to my edits it read like a gushing fan's page. I've tried to introduce a neutral tone and to remove hyperbolic, UNVERIFIED statements. It needs a vast number of citations, something I have tried to indicate. Citations desperately needed
[edit]There are an alarming number of "citation needed" notes on this page. Surely this is the responsibility of the person who wrote the article? I can correct errors in spelling, punctuation, etc., but I am not prepared to do extensive research. Are there editors who enjoy or specialize in this sort of thing? If no one steps up, shouldn't the article be removed or heavily edited to remove the unsourced statements?

- It is the responsibility of the person who put in the numerous cn notices to ensure that they are not in the references cited. In this case I believe they mostly are. There is a certain type of troll who makes mischief by going around putting cn notices everywhere and being too lazy to check them themself. Xxanthippe (talk) 05:51, 12 May 2019 (UTC).
- A mention of his framed-up prosecution for drug offenses initiated by corrupt police in the sixties should be included. Xxanthippe (talk) 00:03, 8 January 2022 (UTC).
Removal of unreferenced material that has been tagged as requiring citations for almost three years
[edit]All the matetrial that I removed was unreferenced and tagged as such for almost three years (since September 2016)! For it to be replaced will require an editor to add reliable and published third-party sources. I deleted the material according to the WP:BURDEN and WP:NOCITE guidelines. According to the former (which also states that: "Any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed and should not be restored without an inline citation to a reliable source"), the burden is not on me to provide the sources, but on any editor who wants to add the information again ("The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution").
