Fair use rationale for Image:Dog slash.jpg
[edit]Image:Dog slash.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Original research
[edit]All the interview says on Sabretooth and Dog is the following.
Interviewer: I tend to wonder if Dog becomes Sabretooth.
Jenkins: Who knows? In my mind, Dog is not intended to be Sabretooth, but he could be. It doesn’t matter. As long as the next writer respects the character and writes a simple story, anything could happen.
That's it. There's nothing about lots of fans thinking he's Sabretooth, there's certainly nothing about an affair between Dog's mother and James's mother, and there's nothing about a comparison between the two characters' physical builds.--CyberGhostface (talk) 15:38, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Also, pointing out that other characters had secondary mutations to explain the scars on Dog's face and the lack of them on Sabretooth's when there is no source to bring up that fact is also Synthesis of published material serving to advance a position.--CyberGhostface (talk) 15:42, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't have thought it OR to simply note that it is one possible theory. It seems to be a mildly popular one, and wasn't denied by Jenkins. The image is perhaps more dubious, but surely serves "to illustrate [that section of] the article," so... maybe... ntnon (talk) 03:14, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- When I wrote that comment, I was referring to this version of the article. The current one is after I trimmed it to fit just what the source said. Anyway, this is discussed more in detail on Sabretooth's talk page.--CyberGhostface (talk) 03:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Are Dog and James half brothers in the movie or full brothers? They have the same Dad and mom right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.139.1.68 (talk) 14:17, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Apparently in the movie credits appears Dog, so perhaps saying Sabertooth is Dog is okay. [[1]] Habanero-tan (talk) 17:52, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- At least as far as the film goes. A comic has recently been put out that basically puts an end to the possibility of Dog and Sabretooth ever being the same person within the realm of the comic. Here's a link to a summary of it. [2] It's a one shot issue and, as far as I've been able to determine, it's part of Earth-616 continuity.Odin's Beard (talk) 18:00, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Mutant?
[edit]Does Dog have superhuman endurance, speed, and strength. I think he demonstrated all of it in his fight against Jimmy/Logan in Origin. Is it confined by Paul Jenkins? (JoeLoeb (talk) 04:31, 9 May 2009 (UTC))
- To the best of my knowledge it's never stated anywhere that Dog is a mutant. Adding that term based on the fight sequence is not a good idea since it is basically a reader's interpretation. - J Greb (talk) 12:28, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Return
[edit]At the end of the miniseries Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine, Dog is shown to surface in the current timeline. Shouldn't it be added to the bio?
