[edit]I thought this page was good so I printed it out for a school project on the WFTU. I need a bibliography for my internet sources of information. It says I need the city where this information was published I think, the day it was written and the year. It doesnt have any of that information on the page. where can I find it? help! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.81.26.77 (talk) 15 October 2003, 17:41 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]The merger of International Confederation of Free Trade Unions needs to be addressed here as it has been in the article about that group, and the reasons for the WFTU's remaining outside the merged group more specifically addressed. Rlquall 03:36, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:WFTU logo.jpg
[edit]Image:WFTU logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

History section
[edit]The History section of this article begins, "The WFTU declined as a result of the collapse of the Soviet Union and socialist governments in Eastern Europe, in particular in Europe, with many of its former constituent unions joining the ICFTU ...." So apparently this organization was founded in 1945 and nothing worth mentioning happened in its history for the next 46 years, when it went into decline? I was planning to add Template:Missing information to this section, but that page says to "open a corresponding discussion detailing the missing information on the article's discussion page before placing the tag." --Metropolitan90 (talk) 21:38, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Flags
[edit]The I-CSC, the Coordinadora Obrera Sindical, the LAB, the Confederació Intersindical Gallega, the Frente Sindical Obrero de Canarias, the Intersindical Canaria are independantist organizations, why you use the spanish flag ? It's like if you put a zionist flag on the Palestinian workers' union or a french flag for the Algerian FLN. It doesn't make any sense. And stop censoring my last modification because it is scientifically correct. 2A01:CB1C:8028:A000:8C31:AC15:B084:B56 (talk) 14:18, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- I'd say the approach should be based on how WFTU perceives the organizations. If WFTU has accepted LAB as its Basque national affiliate, this should be reflected in the listing. If LAB etc are recognized as affiliates from Spanish State, then it's pragmatic to list then under 'Spain'. The flags are unhelpful in the listing in this context. See Wikipedia:MOSFLAG. --Soman (talk) 15:31, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
