Confusion?
[edit]<The AFL and the National Labor Union are two entirely different things. For one, the National Labor Union came before the Knights of Labor and the AFL. Don't know how this is supposed to be fixed, but it certainly needs to be.>

- It seems another anonymous user recently (Dec 5) overwrote the article with one about the AFL. I don't know if the text is accurate in itself, but I've reverted back to the version specifically about the National Labor Union. The AFL article, as it existed before my reversion, can be seen in this old revision. -- Hadal 05:04, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)
The long history paragraph is hard to look through quickly. I would suggest breaking it up into smaller sub-paragraphs for increased readability.

Wording
[edit]I'd like to mention that the wording of some parts of this article is very similar to that of "The American Pageant", a very popular textbook for high school AP US History classes. A quote from the book is "black workers organized their own Colored National Labor Union as an adjunct, but their support for the Republican party and the persistent racism of white unionists prevented the two national unions from working together."
