The traits described seem to match several species (chameleons, flying lizards etc.) Cant't find on Google or Google Scholar (with any number of spellings). Possibly, but I think we can be excused for not distinguishing one from the other if the article doesn't mention up front that we're dealing with fiction—especially if the term in question nets not a single Google reference across the multitude of Tintin fansites on the web. Otherwise, how can we ever delete hoaxes? If the article hadn't mentioned the Arumbaya (as it might well have not), the suspicion would have never cropped up to begin with. I'd be more than willing to apologize if the contributor shows up and protests, but somehow I doubt that'll happen. JRM 18:01, 2004 Dec 6 (UTC)
- Well yes, it would be hard for them to find this page now that the article has been deleted. Also their contribution has been labelled 'vandalism' so they probably wouldn't feel very welcome. Kappa 00:30, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
