These seem to be brain lesions. Some appear to think that excising them can reduce the impact of some forms of epilepsy. user:mirwin
The article has now mycrogyrus, now microgyrus. Which is correct?

If a microgyrus is (always?) a "flaw" or "abnormality", should that not be mentioned already in the opening paragraph?
