Functionality and application

How would I make it display as a pushpin map as seen at the article for Venice? It would look like this:

( ) Show map of Vosges
( ) Show map of Europe
(o) Show all

This functionality would be useful, but it looks like the template doesn't have it. Therefore the template should be upgraded. I wish it had that feature, but I am unable to edit the template to add the feature.
