Not the military historian Richard Holmes oft seen on the BBC by any chance?
- Alas, he is the grand usurper of my name! It was actually funny to see that a person with my name is an authority on Military history as the 20th July bomb plot (and I guess the German war effort in general) is one of my eternal fascinations. Is it karmic? Who knows... RichardHolmes
You may have noticed that another user has redirected the pages you created at Hauptmann and Leutnant to the English language equivalent for which articles already exist. This is normal practise on Wikipedia. It is in no way a reflection on the quality of your contribution on Claus von Stauffenberg which I think is excellent. We're not aiming to be a dictionary and so like terms are redirected to an article where the concept can be explored in detail. Regards Mintguy 12:36, 12 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- I am totally cool with that - I actually was just flailing around and copying what I thought were precedents. Will have to look into the redirects etc when I next add some info. Thanks for the kind comments too! Cheers, RichardHolmes
