Hi. I see you figured it out. Here is the standard welcome blurb....
Welcome!
Hello, Richard0802, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
This is not H2G2 or Everything2. You you should not add your tag line to articles. Also articles should not contain comments like "Do you have any old photos of The Claddagh village? can you illustrate this feature?" - you can either put comments on a talk page or you can embed them in a page using HTML comments so that they are only visible when editing an article. [edit]Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:Africanus.jpg. I noticed that it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release them under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Also, I put Image:Africanus.bmp up for speedy delete (nothing personal) as the jpg is just fine and is smaller, making the bmp unnecessary. Thanks for all your work! --Ricky81682 (talk) 08:59, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)
