The result of the debate was - kept
This was listed on VfD by Houshuang, but a tag was not placed on the article page. I am not endorsing this vote, and I believe this listing to be VfD vandalism. -- Scott 20:23, Dec 11, 2004 (UTC)
- Scott — in the future, please contact the user (in this case, User:Houshuang) if they've unappropriately half-tagged an article for deletion. It makes no sense to carry out someone elses dirty work, especially if you believe the listing to be VfD vandalism. —RaD Man (talk) 09:15, 16 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep I agree, probably vandalism. Spinboy 22:06, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Xezbeth 22:12, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Keep. We really need to make it so that if you add the VfD tag to a page and don't create the entry, it is automatically invalidated. Ливай | ☺ 08:41, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Obviously keep; and Ливай makes a good proposal above. Samaritan 19:09, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep as well. Agree with Samaritan, so where do we sign up?! —RaD Man (talk) 05:07, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep and agree that VfD is in dire need of reform. GRider\talk 17:31, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- More to the point, if someone lists an article here, but doesn't actually make an entry (i.e. we see in red Wikipedia: votes for deletion: Flaash Maah, but nothing beyond that) is there any policy saying someone else has to? Can't it be ignored unless someone else thinks it deserves nomination and wants to complete the transaction? Same if someone tags an article with "subst:vfd" template but doesn't list it here. That would stop these "Someone seems to want this deleted but I don't" listings, which are often a waste of time. If they are valid, someone who actually wants the page deleted can finish the listing and actually explain why it should maybe be deleted. I'm not sure we need a change of policy so much as we need people to stop doing other people's work for them-R. fiend 21:42, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Comment It seems to me that if no actual content was placed in the VfD subpage, then the submission wasn't made, and therefore there is no VfD submission to discuss or deal with. - [[User:KeithTyler|Keith D. Tyler [flame]]] 19:07, Dec 16, 2004 (UTC)
