I rewrote the whole thing with more information and material. It is not in need of cleaning up now. Please don't revert the article, as I have corrected much of the text. Make improvements only. --Eric 12:14, Jun 21, 2005 (UTC)
what year is his birth and death? if he is referred to as father of abdullah (uncle of the prophet, and the father of ali) then he must have been older then all them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.80.105.24 (talk) 03:38, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Amusing to see wikipedia has become a advertising tool of the brainwashed and wicked
Salman was a traitor to his nation and people. He followed the armies of Islam into Iran, helping them and trying to convert the Persian soldiers before the battles. But all this somehow didn't make it in the article.
Won't bother adding it cause i know it will be gone after a few minutes. Even though there are numerous sources confirming this. Iranica Encyclopedia for one, the only and true encyclopedia on Iran and its grand history.

Great job, very nicely done, well written and easy to read and digest, but the information becomes less useful, especially in academia, when it's unknown which parts, if any, are disputed, and if it is accepted by Sunni and/or Shia scholars, which could be clarified with a simple, "according to Shia tradition" "though Sunnis dispute this", "considered apocryphal" what ever the case may be. I think it would add scholarly credibility to an already well written piece if you could add clarification. If I have to vet all the source material to separate the 2, it defeats the whole purpose of a knowledge bank like wikipedia. Thanks for your contribution.2601:7:1B00:4B6:C84B:71C:CE74:FE3C (talk) 19:44, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
